Lifelong learning that's serious business -- yet fun!
Occupational proficiency in today's marketplace entails a process
of constant learning and upgrading. And no other medium lends itself
to this purpose more flexibly than the Web.
The Hong Kong Government's Social Welfare Department was among
the first to recognise this fact and thus commissioned Netvertizing
to develop an intranet-based "E-Learning Centre" for its
social workers. 5,500 users, with individually customised password
access, 100 pages of interactive study material, a Flash-animated
quiz, a forum for exchanging views, and an administrative mode plus
time-sensitive database for monitoring the performance of users
taking the online course....
The resultant Child Protection Training Online (CPTOL) site not
only marked the successful launch of an important new initiative
on the part of the Hong Kong Government to offer higher occupational
training through the Internet, but also saw Netvertizing's efforts
praised for designing a truly professional-looking site that's increasingly
being viewed as the standard for other Government Departments to
follow.
